A tattooed south coast bruiser and a wiry Scot at first sight, a sharp discourse on everything in their path: brutal, aggressive and intelligent.

Yes Boss are Noah (words and beats) and Gavron (electronics, beats and production) – a self contained industry of idea and opinion, writing, recording and producing all their material in house. Noah speaks from experiences and reflects people around him, working with underprivileged kids in Leeds as a youth worker between gigs and putting as much back in as he’ll take out in his lyric.

From the controversial “Indie Kids” – the video showing them throwing youths off the top a building (‘You’re having a laugh, you’ll never get signed……if you do you’ll get dropped quick’) through to remixes of The Sunshine Underground, and close work with other members of the Grime community (and it is a community), they touch all bases. They cite influences from Kraftwerk to Otis Redding, via Jay Z and “going down the arcades”. They’re your cool mate’s older brother you were always too scared to talk to. Maybe you shouldn’t have been.

Yes Boss are gearing up to release the third single, Tongues In Knots, on October 30th and their full length debut album, Look Busy, in early 2007.

The debut single “Indie Kids” by Yes Boss was playlisted on 120 Minutes on MTV2. It was John Kennedy’s X-Posure Big One and Single of the Week on Virgin Xtreme. Yes Boss have been played regularly across many radio programmes on Radio One, One Xtra, XFM and Virgin.
